Dictator Engineering is a leading specialist in both the manufacture and application of GAS SPRINGS & DAMPERS. Additionally, other products and services are also available and include: DISABILITY PLATFORM LIFTS, DOOR DAMPERS, DOOR CLOSERS & GATE CLOSERS. The majority of our products are manufactured in the UK, or within the European Dictator Group manufacturing facilities in Germany, Netherlands and Spain.

When formed in 1978, Dictator Engineering was supplied gas springs by another Dictator Group facility in Germany. Within five years, sales of gas springs and dampers in the UK increased and Dictator Engineering commenced manufacture of gas springs and dampers at its Paddock Wood facility in 1983. Years later in 2003, another milestone was passed when the company moved to its new premises in Lenham, Kent. This move reduced production lead times and increased manufacturing capacity for gas springs by more than 50%.

The move to Lenham not only brought benefits to the gas spring sector of our business, many other new products were also introduced. Products such as disability platform lifts and our range of no slam pedestrian gate closers.
